Well I was thinking of having the grills run longways (ie: if you are infront of the bbq pit, the length of the grill would go from the front to the back of the grill) but it wont fit that way. We could put it sideways where it will reach the 2 bars inside the grill but I think it will slide around when we try to grab something with a utensil.

Let me look into the other fencing idea we talked about first but if that doesn't pan out, we wont have a choice but to buy a few of the grills we talked about earlier.

As far as the grill goes, no luck finding anything at the fence stores. I also tried specialty BBQ parts stores with no luck...almost all are custom made and are $$. Not only that, but we need to make sure this shit is safe...the fence idea might have chemicals/toxins in it (ie: galvanizing agents). I think at this time the best bet is to just buy the ones @ Lowes - maybe 4 - and we will use what we need. We will have to figure out how to stabalize them on the grill itself...maybe Friday, we can meet at the park and actually see how it will fit before we create the burger patties? I will see if any other ideas come up for the grill before I buy the cooking grids tomorrow.

Good news: I got an email today from PF Changs for a free $10 gift certificate with the purchase of a $50+ gift certificate. Talk about good timing lol...I knew theyd have some kind of offer like this. Ill pick it up today

I actually found the material you used for your grill...it's called "expanded metal" in the AC/Vent sections of Home Depot. They had a 24x24" peice for $20 but I think the grill I bought is better since its actually meant for BBQ, its heavier and easier to use (the expanded metal mesh is too sharp and it caves in after a while on the BBQ with the heat and weight of food).

This was the more expensive option for our grill ($85) but its better and I think more durable...we can use this over and over again.

What's that for? If it's to hold the food then just get some cheapie disposable aluminum ones.
